We are independent car dealership and auto repair shop located in central Iowa. We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive technology, possess expertise in various aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair, and have a minimum of two years experience working in an automotive shop environment. We offer competitive pay and benefits along with overtime availability.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair most vehicle systems
- Verbally explain diagnosis, recommendations, and repairs
- Document diagnoses, recommendations, and repairs
- Road test and quality check all work performed
- Perform work in a timely manner
- Participate in ongoing training and education
- Assist other technicians when needed
- Keep work area clean and safe
- Be able to account for all tools
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- ASE certification preferred
- Valid drivers license and good driving record
- Prior diagnostic and repair experience
- Good attendance and on time
- Good communication skills
- Good work ethic
Job Schedule & Pay
- Full-time
- 40 hours expected per week
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends required
- Overtime available
